Do you ever get really excited about left overs? You know, like there's a little present waiting for you in your fridge? Ok maybe it's just me......
Mmmm..... a left over steamed yellow cake, and a steamed lotus bun!
YUM!
Yesterday I met up with Christine (a great friend I met at fashion school) for breakfast. Well actually it was brunch, but not just brunch. It was Dim Sum!
The literal translation or meaning of dim sum is: “order to one’s heart’s content” or “touch the heart”.
Go for dim sum just one time and you will understand the translation.
Dim sum is a light meal eaten leisurely, with tea, sometime from morning to early afternoon with family or friends and typically consisting of a selection of small steamed dumplings and buns.
Ladies push steam carts around the restaurant and you pick and chose as they come by. Without Christine, I probably wouldn't have known what most of the dishes being offered were. Lucky for me, she speaks Chinese :)

This sounds lovely!
oooo and it looks so good...better than most leftovers in my fridge, haha.
I didn't know what the translation of "dim sum" was, but it totally makes sense. Dim sum is delicious! When we go to Chinatown in San Francisco we always bring a whole bunch back home. :)
