Flea Market Totes // Grain Sack Bags

A while back I acquired a stack of awesome antique grain sacks. At the time I wasn't sure what I'd do with them. I just knew that eventually I'd come up with the perfect use for them. With the grain sacks and a selection of wonderful vintage linens I've started creating some really fun tote bags.

Flea Market Totes have been born! Made essentially from flea market finds and perfect for collecting your flea market treasures!

So far, I might be most fond of this little ditty. It combines an awesome Hawaiian sugar sack with my favorite kind of vintage textile.... the handkerchief!

Or how about this one? Vintage flour sack and two great tea towels!
Both of the tea towels used on this tote are linen. I especially love that yellow printed linen towel.

This one doesn't have a grain sack, but it's not lacking in great vintage textiles!
You could call either side the front! These bags have no visible seems, on the inside or the outside.

Check back soon. I'm making new ones all the time right now. You can go directly to the Flea Bag Totes section of the shop by clicking this link:  http://www.etsy.com/shop/PIPandPEPPER?section_id=12083151

Let me know what you think about these new bags, in the comment section. I hope you like them!

pink overload.

This week I loaded the shop up with pinks and pretty feminine florals!

Although pink isn't always my favorite color, I like it a lot better than I did 12 years ago when I was still an emo high school kid. I've come to terms with pink. While I'll never be a frilly pink girly girl, pink is more than ok here and there.

I love this dress.... and if I have too long to think about it, I might end up keeping it!
There is no denying that the 1950s left behind some charming and beautiful treasures, like this blouse!
Pretty pink drop waist dress!
How 'bout a pink "All Weather" coat? That could be a fun addition to a Fall wardrobe!
Or this lovely puff sleeve bohemian dress?

At first glance, I knew this super cool floral blazer had some serious potential!

There are more pink and floral treasures in the shop. Stop by and see what's new! Also, if you don't already, follow me on Twitter for updates on new stuff.

circus wedding.

This treasury made me smile.... and so I had to share it. What an original theme, right?

Thanks MiriMoMo for creating such a fun and lively treasury and for making my shoes a part of it.

If you have included anything from my shop in your treasury and would like me to possibly feature the treasury here, on my blog, please let me know. This could be a reoccurring blog feature.

are you ready for summer?

Awesome summer pieces, coming to the store!

I need to get listing, because I have a whole bunch of really great things for summer. As a matter of fact, Etsy thought so too! This morning a really fun, fluffy, summer perfect, petticoat type skirt of mine was featured in Etsy Finds.
Etsy Finds is part of Etsy's Blog, which is called the Storque. To the best of my knowledge I have never been featured in the Storque before..... but then again, I just recently started subscribing to the emails. So who knows?!

Check out the shop if you get a minute. I'm stocking it with new things today. Yay!

First Etsy-versary!

The first year of Second Wind Vintage, on Etsy, has been great! I've learned so much and have had a lot of fun with my shop. I was just thinking back to my first vintage sale ever.......

Haha! I amuse myself with the few random times I've modeled things in my shop. That dress was pretty cute though, right?

I recently opened a second Etsy shop. Please take a look at Pumpernickel Toast!
My goal for my first year has been 200 sales and I'm happy to say I came pretty darn close. I look forward to the next year. Second Wind Vintage is growing momentum all the time and I look forward to fun times to come with Pumpernickel Toast.

Thanks for reading my blogs and for shopping my shop!!!

For the love of awesome graphics and wonderful printed goods.

Have you seen the Mr. PS etsy shop?!

This seller first caught my eye when I noticed she was a featured seller back in February. Everything in her shop is wonderful! I have loved this "Yummy" design since the first time I saw it.

I asked nicely and she agreed to modify the design in order to make it fit on a tote bag for me. I've only seen a picture, but I LOVE it already. I'm a tote bag junky. I use them for everything..... not just my groceries.

I'm ecstatic! Can't wait to throw this baby over my shoulder!

Frogs and Snails and Puppy dogs' Tails

It had been forever since I last made a treasury. This one ends today, but I wanted to share it before it was gone.

This treasury is dedicated to my son. In honor of how much I love being a boy mom! Boys are crazy fun!
